Marketing Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking a highly organized, self-driven Marketing Specialist to help execute and elevate our client's marketing strategy.
This is a B2C marketing role with the opportunity to engage directly with a large and passionate community of hundreds of thousands of users and self-hosting enthusiasts from all around the world.
In this position, you’ll work closely with the Director of Marketing to coordinate campaigns, manage content, support community engagement, and ensure our efforts remain data-driven, consistent, and impactful. The role requires attention to detail and the ability to see projects through from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities:
In collaboration with their Marketing Director, you will create, manage, and measure the success of marketing campaigns across multiple channels (email, social, digital ads, content marketing). Duties will include:
- Monitor data dashboards to track and report on campaign performance, conversion funnels, and ROI.
- Conduct A/B tests, segmentation, and lifecycle marketing activities to optimize engagement and growth.
- Align stakeholders on campaign priorities, timelines, and success metrics to ensure coordinated business outcomes.
- Support content creation by collaborating with designers, writers, and external partners and doing basic copywriting and design work.
- Ensure all external messaging is consistent with our client's brand voice.
- Establish standards for digital asset management, including the annual marketing calendar, and a system to organize and maintain digital assets (graphics, videos, templates, promo files) for easy access and reuse.
- Maintain existing influencer relationships and establish new ones.
- Regularly engage with our client's community and other social channels—surfacing trends, opportunities, and feedback to the team to translate them into actionable marketing ideas.
- Manage our client's merch store, coordinating product updates, seasonal drops, and promotions.
- Manage certain sections of our client's CMS, including creating blog posts and landing pages.
- Podcast/YouTube Show and event coordination, including guest booking, publishing, and promotion, community webinars, and other online and in-person community events.
- Facilitate retrospective meetings to reflect on campaign outcomes, capture lessons learned, and improve future initiatives.
- Provide feedback to content creators to enhance quality and expand our reach.
- Mentor team members by sharing templates, best practices, and workflow guidance when participating in public-facing initiatives.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years of marketing coordination, digital marketing, or similar role (tech or community-driven B2C brand experience a plus)
- Ability to write basic copy for marketing campaigns in our brand voice and create simple graphics using our brand guidelines.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully with internal teams, external partners, and our client's community.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a proven ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Active US Visa (will be a strong plus)
- Proficiency with:
- Email marketing platforms (such as Beehiiv and Brevo)
- Website CMS (such as Craft)
- Social media management tools
- Paid ad platforms (such as Google Ads, Reddit Ads, Meta Ads, etc.)
- Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and campaign tracking with UTM parameters
