Forward Deployed Engineer

Our Client is redefining how software is built. They remove execution bottlenecks by enabling ideas to move directly into production through AI-native applications and agents. Their platform allows product, business, and engineering teams to ship faster by turning intent into working software without traditional coordination overhead.
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will embed with enterprise customers to design, build, and ship production-ready AI-native applications and agents using our Client's platform. You operate at the intersection of deep technical execution and real customer impact. This role spans the full customer lifecycle.
You will partner with customers both before and after a deal closes, acting as the technical expert who proves what is possible, delivers real systems, and ensures long-term success. You are not a traditional sales engineer or a post-sale services role. You are accountable for turning intent into production reality.
Key Responsibilities:
Partner with sales and founders in pre-sale engagements to deeply understand customer workflows, technical environments, and success criteria
Design and prototype AI-native applications and agents during the evaluation phase to demonstrate real production value
Act as the primary technical expert throughout the sales process, shaping solution scope, architecture, and feasibility
Embed with customers post-sale to build, deploy, and scale production-grade solutions using our Client's platform
Translate customer intent and business workflows into executable systems
Design end-to-end solutions, including architecture, integrations, data flows, and deployment
Work directly in customer environments to unblock adoption and accelerate time to value
Identify product gaps, edge cases, and new opportunities surfaced through customer work and feed them back into the core platform
Build long-term trust with customer product, engineering, and business leaders
Requirements
Strong software engineering background with experience shipping production systems
Experience in forward-deployed, solutions engineering, or technical customer-facing roles across pre-sale and post-sale phases
Ability to evaluate technical feasibility and communicate tradeoffs clearly during sales cycles
Hands-on experience building AI-native applications, agents, or LLM-powered systems
Strong understanding of modern application architectures, APIs, and enterprise integrations
Comfort operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with direct customer exposure
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bias toward execution, ownership, and customer outcomes
Nice to have
Experience supporting enterprise sales cycles with live prototypes or proofs of value
Familiarity with agent frameworks, prompt engineering, or AI orchestration patterns
Background in startups or high-growth environments
Experience influencing product direction through customer-facing work
